Position Overview: Aegon USA Investment Management, LLC is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Investment Analyst within the Securities Trade Operations Team. This position will be responsible for supporting the needs of Front Office and Client Services related to trade settlement, corporate action election, research, issue resolution, onboarding, and communication. Hire will continue to build relationships by maintaining cooperation and effective communication between Front Office and Operations. In addition, this position may assist with other team functions including cash publishing, and related projects.
Responsibilities:
• Settling trades with brokers and counterparties, working with the Front Office as needed
• Solving problems by communicating settlement and other trade issues to Front Office, Client Services, custodians, and other impacted parties
• Partner with Client Reporting to provide accurate and timely trade and position data to clients
• Ensuring complete and accurate election of corporate actions
• Daily publishing and reconciliation of cash balances on Aladdin
• Investigating and resolving cash discrepancies by working with banks and other groups within Asset Operations
• Assisting with client onboarding
Required Qualifications:
• . A. (Accounting, Finance, or financial services-related)
• 3 years of related experience in financial services industry or technical analysis
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong analytical, problem recognition and resolution, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, including the ability to meet tight deadlines occurring throughout the day
• Detail oriented, accurate, and analytical
• Addresses issues in a timely and professional manner
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Proficiency with MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of fixed income products, life cycle of a trade, and investment processes.
Joband compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications including the extent of his/her relevant experience and other job related factors and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
