The Business Development Manager will join a small team that reports into the Commercial Banking segment. Responsibilities include collecting information across the bank to prepare executive presentations, perform strategic analysis, coordinate inorganic activity, understand industry specific trends, track peer bank's developments and support the different divisions in any strategic matter.
This position will join a small team that reports into the Sales Performance Executive for Commercial Banking.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage the coordination of the division's prospect management activities (data management, lead allocation, sales routines, calling/results, reporting)
• Collect sales performance information across the division to prepare executive presentations, perform strategic analysis and support strategic sales initiatives across the different divisions
• Work closely with the rest of the Sales Performance team collecting data, building analytical models, providing insight through presentations and sharing perspective in team meetings
• Significant exposure to executive leadership of the Commercial Banking businesses
• Coordinate prospect management process
• Manage prospect data, including maintenance of data accuracy and refresh of new prospect opportunities
• Coordinate sales management routines to ensure that a high level of prospect calling is taking place across the division
• Coordinate the development and execution of new targeted prospecting sales initiatives
• Produce calling and results tracking
• Work with marketing to develop value proposition messaging for new prospects
• Establish core working knowledge of the Commercial Banking sales management process to drive change and enhance sales results
• Manage monthly updates to senior management on sales/prospecting performance and produce presentations for Commercial Banking executive leadership
• Conduct analysis through primary and secondary research in order to identify business trends, financial performance and competitor's developments in order to present strategic initiatives to enhance sales production to executive leadership

Qualifications
• High energy, roll-up your sleeves attitude and commitment to success
• 5+ years of experience in a strategy role
• 7+ years of experience in Financial Services, or a consulting firm, investment bank/boutique, equity research or comparable corporate role preferred
• Ability to handle multi-tasking
• Capacity to communicate efficiently with senior management
• Commitment to work long hours
• Strong demonstrated analytical, presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal skills
• Experience working within a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, multi-cultural business environment
