Description
Wintrust Asset Finance Inc. (WAF), an affiliate of Wintrust Financial Corporation, is looking for a candidate for Commercial Loan & Leasing Operations Specialist. This position will have active involvement in the growth of commercial finance business. WAF provides highly sophisticated finance and lease products (including equipment loans and equipment leases) to commercial enterprises throughout the United States in a wide range of industries.
Key Accountabilities:
• Responsible for the review of lease and loan documentation including preparation of booking forms as well as accurate booking into portfolio systems.
• Prepare funds transfer requests and facilitate the prompt, efficient, and accurate funding of new business including compliance with OFAC.
• Responsible for customer invoicing, posting of customer payments, including ACH processing and delinquency monitoring.
• Responsible for processing all modification requests and/or contract changes as well as management and reconciliation of floating rate contracts.
• Provide accurate calculation of contract buyouts.
• Responsible for ordering Uniform Commercial Code “UCC” searches, preparing UCC filings, and completing motor vehicle title paperwork as needed to ensure perfection of security interests on portfolio. Also responsible for monitoring and tracking UCC expirations.
• Responsible for maintaining insurance coverage for portfolio and tracking renewals.
• Responsible for maintenance of loan and lease documentation and scanning of documents into records management systems.
• Accurately prepare and publish reports.
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
• Prior bank or finance company experience in operations or credit administration (3 to 10+ years preferred)
• Knowledge of commercial loan and lease documentation and perfection
• In-depth knowledge of portfolio accounting systems such as Infolease, LeaseTeam/LeasePlus or Aspire, FIS/ACBS, etc. preferred
• Knowledge of loan and lease pricing software such as TValue and SuperTrump
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills needed to work with business people at all levels
• Attention to detail with a strong work ethic and willing to take initiative. Demonstrated ability to make well-reasoned business decisions. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks under pressure
• Highly proficient with MS Excel as well as experience with other MS Office products.
• Bachelor’s degree or some college preferred
