Position Overview
Under limited supervision, serves as the analyst supporting the Executive Director of Collateral Management, focusing on collateral reporting, collateral analysis, collateral agreement and process documentation, and supporting risk analysis. Processes the routine month to month tasks with respect to collateral management database, transaction and report maintenance. Ensures accurate, reliable and timely collateral management reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities
• Performs month-end collateral database management and reporting functions; performs reconciliation and data validation procedures.
• Performs quarter-end collateral reporting, which may include any or all of the following:
◦ Collecting collateral demand projections from the business unit, area, or function;
◦ Reporting on collateral demand and supply sources by segment and/or legal entity;
◦ Reporting on collateral agreements by various levels of aggregation;
◦ Compiling results of stress tests and preparing reports on such;
◦ Preparing reports for Collateral and Liquidity Committee consumption as well as other relevant groups, as needed.
• Works with other functional and corporate areas in RGA to achieve accuracy and completeness in collateral management reporting, and to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in collateral management processes; responds to requests from other functional areas on various inquiries, including ad hoc reporting.
• Assists with collateral report development and/or updates; addresses collateral management and reporting related questions raised by business unit, area, or function.
• Shares technical expertise with others; recommends process improvements, provides functional advice and/or training as needed.
• Serves as liaison to other business units, areas and functions as needed.
• Maintains management process and control documentation as well as collateral agreement documentation.
• Supports new business development activities as needed.
• Supports asset and collateral related quarter-end responsibilities for the Structured Finance department.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or equivalent related work experience
• 5-8 years finance, accounting or auditing experience
Preferred:
• Oracle or other database software applications experience
• Tableau or other data visualization and analysis software applications experience
• Insurance/Reinsurance financial reporting experience

• Intermediate Word and PowerPoint skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Intermediate Database and SQL/Query skills
• Intermediate oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge

• General business knowledge
Preferred:
• Intermediate knowledge of reinsurance and investment accounting
• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory reporting
• Experience building and using databases
