Description
Position Goals:
Effectively manage the Credit Department to ensure effective risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting according to standardized processes, procedures, and policies.
Management Received:
Under the general guidance of the Regional Chief Credit Officer
Management Exercised:
Credit Analysts
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage completion of accurate, unbiased required analyses:
• Provide reporting identifying required analysis;
• Guide completion of financial statement spreading;
• Guide completion of credit risk assessment and analysis for credit requests, renewals, and reviews.
2. Complete accurate, unbiased analysis for select complex or other credits.
3. Manage completion of interim monitoring:
• Provide reporting identifying required interim monitoring;
• Guide completion of spreading and reviewing financial data;
• Guide completion of borrowing base certificate trend reporting;
• Guide completion of covenant calculation and monitoring;
• Farm visit monitoring;
• Floor plan monitoring;
• Construction inspection monitoring;
4. Manage system data integrity:
• Risk grades, NAICS, purpose and call codes.
5. Manage completion of required and assigned reporting requirements.
6. Manage order and review of appraisals and environmental assessments, and completion of real estate evaluations.
7. Manage completion of land development loan and problem loan updates.
8. Conduct routine department meetings.
9. Develop and perform internal specialized training for bank and corporate wide staff.
10. Manage credit staff:
• Conduct interviews, hire and terminate staff.
• Establish and ensure completion of goals and development plan.
• Coach and develop staff.
• Measure and monitor staff performance.
• Create strong team morale and high achievement.
11. Participant/Member bank loan committee, and attend corporate loan committee as needed.
12. Actively participate in bank special asset and watch meetings.
13. Attend and participate in Credit Department Manager meetings and credit forum.
14. Perform duties assigned to allowance for loan loss coordinator.
15. Attend sales calls with Relationship Managers as needed.
16. Complete compliance, and assigned training and development.
Requirements
Position Requirements:
Education - Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or business.
Experience - Over five (5) through eight (8) years of analytical credit administration or related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Management experience
