Summary
The HR Generalist partners with the HR Business Partner to leverage HR resources on shared goals and objectives that address the human capital strategy for the assigned business functions. The HR Generalist has knowledge of all core people processes including talent acquisition, on boarding and developing, performance management, rewards and recognition and talent management strategies. The HR Generalist brings solutions that equip line managers to make great people decisions where it matters most.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Talent Acquisition: In partnership with their assigned talent acquisition team will assess recruitment needs and assist with executing on recruiting strategies to support recruitment of highly qualified candidates in target markets. Will provide training, guidance and support to the hiring manager during the hiring process (e.g. posting, interviewing, offer). Will be directly involved in the selection of talent by reviewing applications and interviewing candidates. Will make recommendations on candidate selection to the business.
• Onboarding and Development: Will provide input on development and delivery of effective orientation programs and training programs and will develop and execute unique on-boarding and development plans as needed. Will provide oversight and monitor participation in development and career pathing programs.
• Performance Management and Organizational Effectiveness: Works closely with managers to conduct proactive and regular goal setting, and performance management. Support the front-line manager with initial performance diagnosis and recommends potential solutions. Will partner and consult with Workforce Relations on workplace opportunities and issues. Will design, gather feedback and provide initial analysis of results from workforce surveys. Provide on-going people management advice regarding practices, solutions and coaching to business leadership. Assist with the design and daily implementation of change management plans for specific initiatives.
• Rewards and Recognition: Support preparation and roll out of compensation programs. Assist partners with communications and planning for unit calibration meetings. Assist with coaching on the recognition program.
• Data Gathering and Analysis: Assists in identifying and gathering data on relevant people measures. Acts as the expert resource on access and utilization of data sources for reporting and works with the reporting team to create reports. Provides an initial analysis of the data.
• Other: Provides a variety of other HR related functions to support the business and the HR Partner in delivering solutions to the organization (e.g. performance management, base pay, surveys, recognition programs, policy development). This may involve research, data analysis, presentation preparation, organization chart review and updating. Commits to on-going development and pursues leading edge HR development in order to bring thought leadership and innovative approaches.
Required Job Qualifications
• Bilingual: Spanish and English Ability to work closely with subject matter experts to produce learning materials (will be added for the Latino Strategy related position)
• Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field or equivalent education, training and experience
• Two or more years of relevant human resources experience or exposure to key areas, such as recruiting and development
• Knowledgeable of employment law parameters and compliance in the workplace
• PHR or SPHR preferred
• Knowledge of Workday helpful
• Eye for quality and consistency and strong attention to detail

Other Critical Factors
• 25% travel may be required (domestic U.S.)
