Support North America (NA) data strategy initiatives by leading as a business owner delivering key data capabilities such as policies, standards and master quality data across business groups and Data & Analytics (DA) teams in partnership with Technology.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Drive the strategy, implementation and oversight of data standards, data quality, policies and processes supporting all DSS initiatives and other projects across the organization with a data component
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on master data, data quality, data transformation and how it feeds into business processes, decisions and reporting needs
• Lead Business sessions to define standards, quality rules, thresholds and root cause analysis for all data defined as critical across the organization
• Lead metrics and communications for Metadata Management, Data Quality, remediation of data issues and operational effectiveness
• Drive efficiencies and enterprise data maturity through enforced standards, execution of DSS capabilities and business initiatives with a data component
• Work in collaboration with NA IT to design and deliver data platform implementations for Master Data and Data Quality Management
• Partner with Group to align with Enterprise initiatives with a data component to support master quality data across the organization
• Manage a performance enhancement culture by actively coaching and mentoring direct reports, providing regular feedback and developing employees for wider roles and responsibilities to foster professional growth and development
• Manage budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibility
• Provide a positive environment by modeling cultural expectations and guiding leaders to reward performance and value "can do" people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun

Experience / Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
• 10+ years relevant experience with data governance, data management and financial data metrics.
• Property and casualty insurance industry experience ( highly preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Strong ability in strategic thinking and framing business problems
• Strong industry knowledge of Insurance or Financial data
• Deep Knowledge of database profiling tools (ie: SQL, SAS, etc), ETL tools (ie. Ab inito, Informatica, etc)
• Knowledge of data governance tools, such as meta data management (ie: MDM, Adaptive, Informatica, etc), reference data management(ie: RDM, Colibra, etc) and Data Quality (ie: DQIP, Talend, etc)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Able to facilitate presentations
• Strong project management and analytical aptitude skills
• Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Show drive and initiative
• Able to work independently and resolve complex/unforeseen issues
• Motivational and inspirational leadership approach to team involvement and engagement
• High attention to detail
• Maintain confidentiality of private or sensitive information

• Occasional (approximately 5-10 trips annually)

• Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is not substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate basic office equipment including telephone, headset and computer. Incumbent must be able to lift basic office equipment up to 20 pounds.
