Job Description
This position is responsible for managing strategic and ongoing activities to proactively engage and deliver scalable network products directly to global participants with primary focus on the Integrated Payments Providers (IPPs) which includes: value added resellers, gateways, integrated software vendors and terminal OEMs.
This employee will also consult on product strategy and will provide technical product knowledge, EMV process expertise, and project management advice. He or she will help guide partners through the implementation lifecycle, and be responsible for ensuring that project timelines are met. He or she will facilitate requests for policy exceptions/waivers, and communicate final certification approval. He or she will help resolve all issues that arise during planning, certification, implementation and deployment. He or she will also be responsible for forecasting and tracking product implementations and communicating status.
This employee will be expected to build relationships across DFS including Discover Network, DCI, PULSE, Discover Card and Net-to-Net partners as well as with current and potential issuing and acquiring partners. This involves providing support to our relationship management teams in client meetings and providing consultative support throughout client product implementations. He or she will also interact regularly with many types of business partners, including vendors and will deliver presentations, develop and lead training, and provide SME guidance both inside and outside DFS.
*This position is located in Riverwoods (IL), Phoenix (AZ), or New Albany (OH).

• May be required to lead or co-ordinate activities by others as part of cross-functional project teams.
• Promote a risk-aware culture; ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and practices
Skills Required:
• 3 years of experience in the US payments industry, preferably in the IPP space.
• Must have payments experience with EMV or other advanced payments products.
• Experience preferred with building relationships with senior level management in the IPP space.
• Experienced in managing multiple partner / vendor relationships simultaneously; must possess excellent client management skills.
• Well-developed presentation skills, including the ability to effectively deliver information to internal and external constituents at all levels.
• Ability to develop a strategic mindset to influence product deployment with internal and external business partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong aptitude for planning and organization, detail oriented.
• Ability to travel domestically & internationally.
• Knowledge of the Canadian IPPs and payments ecosystem is a plus.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus
