To define, gather and analyze measures of Vanguard's client experience across all channels (with the primary focus being the web). To be an advocate for measuring client experience.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for influencing improvement in key performance metrics of Vanguard’s digital properties and marketing campaigns by analyzing customer behavioral data and making recommendations using quantitative data such page/path analysis, clickstream, abandonment, topline metrics, and qualitative data such as Voice of Client, OpinionLab, and Usability results.
• Partners with key business stakeholders to determining the strategic direction for web analytic success metrics, key performance indicators, and approaches/methodologies. Contributes to presentations regarding web analytics strategic vision and business plan to Center for Analytics and Insight, business and technology leaders.
• Responsible for working with IT, business, and project teams to provide consultation to ensure consistent application of digital intelligence measures, adherence to approved standards, focus on key metrics, promotion of Key Performance Indicators, and enterprise-wide adopted approaches/methodologies.
• Provides insight on digital intelligence tools capabilities and approach to advanced data strategies such as attribution, behavioral segmentation, personalization and the approved enterprise-wide approaches/methodologies to measurement of success.
• Responsible for staying abreast of rapidly evolving industry trends, standards, approaches, and strategies and ensuring the progressive evolution of the Vanguard digital intelligence program.
• Participates in the development and delivery of training, education, and support to user community on all web analytic tools.
• Integrating Email, Advertising, Sales and other marketing data with web analytics data to build a comprehensive view of customers Vanguard experiences.
• Build data visualizations in Tableau, Excel and other technologies to transform data into actionable insights.
• Participates/leads special projects and other duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Should Possess:
• Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum of three years experience querying, analyzing, visualizing and reporting on data.
• Experience in deriving actionable business information from complex operational data.
• Experience managing web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or DoubleClick with a general understanding of how web analytics tools work (i.e. cookies, tags, etc.).
• Experience working with website analytics specifically focused on website performance, navigation, traffic analysis, and usability.
• Project experience a plus.
• Experience or familiarity with web analytics tag implementation and coding with interconnected systems, is a plus.
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills.
• MS office skills. Strong Excel skills in data manipulation and presentation.
• Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to form hypotheses and draw meaningful insights from disparate data sources. Knowledge of marketing and user experience disciplines a significant plus.
• Ability to clearly articulate and present findings and recommendations to team members and management, and to technical and non-technical audiences. Strong data visualization skills.
