Our Private Client Services business was founded more than four decades ago as a family office for Capital Group’s senior executives and their families. We have since expanded into a full-service wealth management and trust company, overseeing some $22 billion in assets for a select group of discriminating high-net-worth individuals, trusts, foundations and endowments nationwide. The Client Relationship Team Specialist is a key member of the client relationship team, working with the Investment Counselor (IC) who markets, establishes and maintains relationships with and provides investment strategies for high net worth investors. The Client Relationship Team Specialist is also mentors and provides leadership to less experienced team members, identifies process improvements and leads related projects.
Responsibilities:
• Leads strategic business support for the IC team and anticipates, executes and coordinates IC team client support activities from prospecting/marketing to client management
• Leads and oversees multiple aspects of the client relationship, including cash management, distributions, contributions, asset allocation, investment actions, client/account maintenance and client inquiries. Coordinates with internal and external teams as necessary.
• Coordinates with internal and external teams to on-board new account relationships regarding information collection, documentation and approval compilation, open accounts and fund accounts.
• Supervises team that may include Relationship Associate (RA), Relationship Specialist, and/or Admin
• Leads the performance appraisal process, which includes gathering input from stakeholders, preparing and delivering reviews.
• Provides support and leadership to team, manages timecard approval process and coordinate time away requests.
• Provides subject matter expertise and training as needed.
• Represents the teams’ interests to Management. Attends ad hoc meetings and leads client/intermediary meetings as appropriate.
• Responds to ad hoc portfolio, regulatory, market and investment strategy specific queries, both verbally and in writing.
• Participates in or leads projects related to the business’ and teams’ overall business priorities.
Qualifications:
• Experience in the financial or investment management industry and proven client servicing abilities.
• A good working knowledge and understanding of capital markets.
• In-depth knowledge of financial industry, investment recommendations and strategies, fiduciary practices, and the investment advisory and wealth planning business.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of CG mandates, investment vehicle structures, fees, different CG business models, internal policies, reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication skills including strong written, verbal and listening skills.
• Strong initiative, teamwork and organizational skills are essential with the ability to prioritize multiple requests from a variety of sources.
• Analytical skills and strong technical skills along with attention to detail.
• The ability to forge relationships with others inside and outside Capital Group that are based on mutual respect, loyalty and trust.
• Industry recognized professional designation a plus (FINRA Series 65 strongly encouraged).
• Leadership or Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
