This is a tremendous entry-level opportunity to join Thrivent Financial’s fast paced asset management group. We are looking for an Associate Investment Systems Analyst (ISA) to provide operational support for investment systems and related processes; with a primary focus on Fixed Income asset class. In our Agile environment, the ISA acts as a liaison between IT and the stakeholders in order to ensure data integrity, manage requirements, complete impact analysis, and drive process improvement; relying heavily on analytical problem solving, communication skills, and an innovative mind-set. Ultimately, the ISA applies business knowledge, systems analysis, project management, and business analysis skills to the day to day and project work assigned to the team.
• Learn and understand asset management operational concepts through:
◦ Providing front office process and system support for assigned business staff, systems, and processes
◦ Partnering with IT and other ISAs to improve the reliability and effectiveness of shared vendor systems and to maintain a reliable production environment
◦ Interfacing with stakeholders to capture business priorities and understand their ever-changing needs
◦ Ensuring the successful movement of key data through complex systems and processes via recurring reconciliation protocols
◦ Partnering with other Investment Operations staff to develop and reinforce system and process standards throughout the investment department
• Participate in projects that implement new processes and systems or improve existing infrastructure, contributing to/eliciting requirements, design, planning, and development and execution of test cases
• Serve as a liaison to IT for development, implementation, and maintenance of assigned systems
• Develop relationships with external peers and vendors to keep current with technology and industry trends
• Partner with Reporting Analysts and IT to provide effective reports and develop efficient reporting methods

What we want from you:
• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or IT
• 0-2 years’ experience
• Ability to use reporting and data analysis tools, including light programming in Access, Excel, and/or VBA
• Experience with and/or motivation to learn investment platforms and/or accounting systems such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Crystal, or PAM, etc.
