As a Director within the Global Workforce Optimization (GWO) team, you will use proven problem solving approaches and rigorous analytics capabilities to influence business strategy and workforce planning decisions, enabling greater scale and efficiency. You will have the opportunity to work across all levels of leadership and lead strategic business initiatives to help Fidelity’s Workplace Investing organization achieve its multi-year business strategy.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
• Bachelors degree in engineering, business, finance, or other business-related field; MBA preferred but not required
• 7+ years of relevant experience in a business consulting, finance, or analytics role
• Demonstration of success at leading and working with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic, change, and capability projects
• Proven ability to generate innovative solutions to loosely defined business problems
• Consulting experience is preferred
• Financial Services industry experience a plus
The Purpose of Your Role
As a lead member of the GWO organization, you will provide consulting and analytical insights to inform strategic business decisions, including multi-year forecasts, staffing strategies, identification and prioritization of improvement opportunities, business investments and multi-year site strategy. You will partner closely with business leaders and support teams to build insights and analytics to effectively optimize the performance of business teams. This role will also lead initiatives with broad scope and impact to provide business leadership with fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to position the workforce for long-term scale.

• Must demonstrate an ability to lead, plan, and manage complex tasks with key business partners, develop and deliver presentations on complex subjects, and facilitate strategic level meetings with senior leadership
• Your intellectual curiosity and innovative approaches to solve problems by using data, resulting in key insights and solutions for strategic business problems with little oversight
• Your experience with identifying and analyzing patterns in large and varied data sets, and ability to clearly communicate business implications and recommendations
• Your proven ability to build and influence relationships leveraging your strong leadership skills
• You are highly organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects / assignments
• Excellent communication skills – ability to translate complex ideas into digestible insights for varying levels of management to influence change
• Your strong project management skills will provide structure to drive results
• Your comfort with ambiguity and broad challenges, shifting priorities, and unexpected events
The Value You Deliver
• Work closely with management and business partners to support and influence the development and on-going assessment of operational forecasts, staffing strategies, and multi-year business plans
• Identify trends and create insights to improve management’s ability to build effective workforce plans, evaluate performance, and clearly understand team and associate capabilities
• Assess the impact of improvement and new product initiatives on long range staffing plans and contribute to business case development or validation
• Build trust and leverage solid working relationships with a global team, finance partners and all levels of business leadership
• Develop innovative , contributing to the evolution of the team’s strategic and business intelligence capabilities
