Description
As a member of our Private Accounting Services (PAS) practice, Interns serve as members of the client service teams working on accounting matters faced by our individual high net worth clients. Interns are staffed on engagements similar to an Associate and receive formal and on-the-job training to hone and develop their technical skills. PAS Interns will work under the direction of other PAS team members and will assist in coordinating administrative tasks with the PAS practice including accounting, general ledger functions, preparing expense allocations, account reconciliations, gathering and organizing source documentation used in financial statement preparation, and performing basic accounting research with written conclusions.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
• Associate’s and/or pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree;
• A minimum GPA of 3.0;
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Proficient use of technology including MS Excel, MS Word and QuickBooks;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Strong leadership, multitasking and organizational skills;
• Self-starter with initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; and strong interpersonal skills;
• Ability to interact with and gain the respect of all levels of internal and client personnel.
