Grant Thornton is seeking an Associate to join its Financial Management service line in Los Angeles, CA. The Business Analyst Associate will work with program and project managers to develop the organization's budget while assisting in the review managers' budget proposals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with laws and other regulations.

At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Combine all the program and department budgets together into a consolidated organizational budget and review all funding requests.
• Monitor organizational spending to ensure that it is within budget.
• Inform program managers of the status and availability of funds.
• Estimate future financial needs.
• Manage purchase orders.
• Prepare invoices.
• Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
• Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Qualifications
• Experience and ability to work in teams to deliver projects to agreed deadlines and budgets.
• Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
• Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
• 0 -2 years general experience in a professional office environment. Prior experience is desired.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• Strong business analysis experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Excel
• Ability to work autonomously, a self-starter with the confidence to make their own decisions.
• Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
• U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
• Travel may be required.
• Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
• Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
• Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
