We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Data Analytics to join our Internal Audit team working in collaboration with our Internal Audit Transformation and Delivery team to develop insights thru data. Reporting to the Head of Analytics and Operations, you will lead the development of data analytics techniques to support the entire audit cycle, including audit planning, audit execution, reporting, and risk assessments. Help achieve internal audit objective of continuous monitoring using data mining and visualization techniques.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Develop innovative and effective approaches to solve analytic problems and communicates results and methodologies
• Collaborate with IT to define the tools, platforms, and roadmap required to support statistical, analytic, and visualization of the data product
• Work with the business analysis and program delivery team to move analytic solutions into the business as usual operations both internal to audit and to our clients
• Identify relevant and available data from internal and external sources
• Educate data staff and improves their technical capabilities
Job Requirements:
• Must have solid experience and/or education in Data Analytics, Data Science or Statistics
• Working experience of Statistics and Probability
• Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
• Exposure to statistical data analysis and modeling languages
• Experience using data visualization tools (Qlik and Tableau)
• Experience using business intelligence software and developing dashboard analytics
• Knowledge of Natural Language Procession (NLP) and robotics (AI) preferred
• Ability to take business and technical requirements and transform them into solution and technical designs for both business and technical audiences
• Outstanding communication skills with practical experience delivering presentations and facilitating workshops
• Experience with insurance systems such as policy admin and actuarial systems
• Advanced degree preferred
• Experience in Internal Audit or External Assurance a plus, but not required
• Experience with financial ERPs specifically SAP
