Overview

This position will assist with maintaining and executing a comprehensive process for identifying, assessing, testing, monitoring and reporting on compliance risks that may impact organizational performance. Interact with management across the organization to gauge and report on the effectiveness of compliance risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
• Assist with maintaining a Compliance Risk Management framework and supporting policies and procedures
• Develop appropriate documentation to support Compliance Risk Management activities
• Work with all areas of risk management in utilizing the GRC software application
• Facilitate the ongoing assessment of the organization’s compliance risk maturity profile
• Ability to document risks and controls (i.e., risk and control matrix, process flows, mapping documents, etc.)
• Execute a strategic and annual Compliance Testing plan in line with best practices
• Ability to create and execute test scripts and test plans while maintaining detailed work papers for supporting documentation
• Ability to identify potential gaps in current processes and provide guidance as to corrective action plans
• Design and deliver educational, training or other materials to support desired organizational compliance risk management culture
• Support other risk management roles, including operating risk framework, and /or committees, policy and governance framework
• Remain current on industry rules, regulations and best practices to help ensure that the testing program meets regulatory standards
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business required; graduate degree a plus
• Specific knowledge of risk management frameworks, corporate governance, process improvement, project management, bank operations, products and services, or regulation
• Certification or experience in audit, risk or compliance preferred
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
• Demonstrated ability in communicating effectively, both verbally and written
• Work independently and coordinate with the work of others
• Well organized and detail-oriented to handle diverse and concurrent assignments
• Experienced in risk management, auditing, project management or similar
• Strong Microsoft application knowledge (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook) and aptitude for grasping and using various bank software applications
• Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time
