Description
The AVP – FP&A is responsible for tasks related to financial analysis, financial reporting, forecasting and strategic decision making for Wintrust’s mortgage banking division. The AVP – FP&A will be charged with establishing analysis and reporting to support Wintrust’s mortgage banking leadership. The position will report to the SVP – FP&A and may supervise 1-2 analysts.
Responsibilities:
• Establish best practices in compiling mortgage banking origination volume and financial forecasts.
• Prepare monthly, weekly, daily, and ad hoc analysis to help evaluate and inform management.
• Develop financial reporting including board and management presentations.
• Participate in strategic planning discussions.
• Supervise and coordinate completion of annual budget for mortgage banking division.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
• At least 3-7 years’ of experience working in the mortgage banking industry, including financial analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask & prioritize; ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work in a small team environment, building and maintain a network of contacts and coordinating with a large number of stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel & Powerpoint
