Global Wealth Management is offered by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) franchise, which has one of the world’s largest networks of Financial Advisors. This role is in the Morgan Stanley Field Operations organization. Field Operations encompasses a wide range of services and support designed to add value to our clients with a shared goal of serving the best interests of our branches and our clients.
This Executive Director position will report to the Field Operations Project Officer and work closely with other Field Operations teams and key stakeholders across the MSWM to assume ownership of select policies, procedures and controls associated with asset movement; while also leading the development of new business processes or streamlining existing ones across the service platform. Responsibilities include the designing of new end to end process flows, developing field and client controls and managing internal and external audit engagements in partnership with Legal, Compliance, various Risk groups, leading or actively participating in project working groups, establishing metrics for reporting, and managing overall project efforts from initiation to implementation. This role will also assist in the creation and execution of communications and training efforts for field service teams.
Responsibilities:
• Lead ownership of policies, procedures, and processes related to controls
across the asset movement service platforms
• Manage internal and external audit engagements
• Coordinate and develop Business Requirements Documents with subject
matter experts and participate in the management of other project
specifications, work orders, and change requests.
• Interact with Field Operations Project Managers, Operations, Technology and
various business partners throughout the project life cycle including the review
and preparation of functional requirement specifications
• Assist in creation of new, or update existing training materials and user guides
• Perform other miscellaneous project management tasks as directed by the
Project Officer
Qualifications
Skills Required
• Must possess strong leadership skills
• Must have experience in platform and process risk controls
• Must be highly motivated with a strong work ethic and a will to succeed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both business and technical
contexts.
• Strong analytical, process-oriented, problem-solving/issues-resolution skills.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent follow up skills
• Be self-motivated and able to work in a strong team and high activity
environment where the sharing of ideas and talents is encouraged and
welcomed
• Ability to work independently in a multi-tasking, deadline-driven environment
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Visio strongly preferred.
• Financial Services experience preferred, but not required.
• BA or BS preferred, but not required.
