Description
The Director of Account Development will be responsible for growing revenues and margins of an assigned PREFERRED CHANNEL portfolio within Experian Consumer Services (ECS). The Director will focus on creating, developing and executing an overall strategic relationship and strategy that will drive, penetrate and expand our ECS products and services within this channel- representing 50+ clients. The Director will report directly to the VP of Account Development and be located in Austin, Texas.
Director Job Skills:
• Ability to prioritize, identify and execute opportunities within a 50+ account base portfolio.
• A strong focus on entrenchment by building and leveraging relationships at various levels within the account base with particular focus on effective executive level-stacking between the client and Experian
• Ability to drive results by identifying specific profitable growth opportunities for expansions of existing products and services as well as focus on cross selling new products and services
• Developing and executing both long term and short term winning strategies that benefit both the client and Experian
• A strong ability to align and collaborate with internal ECS resources in order to drive results
• The ability to effectively communicate where difficult messages can effectively be relayed in order to garnish followership both internally and externally with internal key stakeholders and clients/customers
• A keen sense of self-awareness and high degree of personal excellence
Director Job Responsibilities:
• In a matrix environment, work with a team of internal assigned (and unassigned) resources within ECS to drive success within the assigned portfolio
• Possess a strong strategic consultative selling and customer relationship management experience focusing on enterprise B2B2C sales
• Identify new partnership opportunities within targeted accounts to expand distribution of ECS products
• Lead complex sales engagements and leverage technical expertise and real-life experience in creating solutions, designs, proof of concept and implementation strategies for target clients
• Develop a deep understanding of ECS API and hosting solutions, as well as, knowledge of the features and functionality of the various products & benefits
• Develop account revues and sales presentations and collateral that may be unique for each engagement
• Interface with Finance, Product Development, Technology, Legal, and other related functions
• Effectively negotiate (and re-negotiate) deal terms with clients and ensure deal structures deliver financial returns consistent with Experian Consumer Services internal hurdles
• Maintain knowledge and insight of competitors
• 10+ years of experience selling and managing B2B solutions to Fortune 500 clients
• Strong enterprise Financial Institution and/or software solutions with SaaS/High Tech industry experience
• Must be self-motivated, driven to succeed and ready to hit the ground running
• Subject matter expert on cross-sell marketing, regulatory requirements, product development and implementation techniques
• Demonstrable ability to work across a matrix organization and put strong problem solving, communication, leadership and influencing skills to work
• Strong financial acumen with P&L management experience
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives, EVPs and SVPs within Fortune 500 businesses and fin-tech startups.
• Expert interpersonal and presentation skills with ability to present solutions via live presentations or remote webinars
• Keen organizational skills and attention-to-detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize well in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• MBA is preferred
• Ability to travel +/- 30% of the time
