HR Business Partner - Senior
Job Description:
As a strategic partner, the HR BP – Workforce Solutions aligns business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. They will serve as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues. They will act as employee champion and change agent. The HR BP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our corporate HR department and business management and seeks to develop integrated solutions. The HR BP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
This role will have responsibility for Human Resources functions for an assigned business unit. To effectively support our business, the individual will maintain an effective level of business literacy about the organization’s financial position, strategic plans, culture and competition.
This key role reports into the VP HR leader for Workforce Solutions business and will work closely with members of the Business Unit and Centers of Excellence leadership and human resource teams. This role will be located in Reston, VA with travel up to 20%.
Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain strategic partnerships with clients and managers to ensure that HR strategy is aligned with those of the business
• Provide guidance on organization design, workforce planning, learning and development and succession planning
• Consult with management providing HR guidance when appropriate
• Drive implementation of key HR programs such as succession planning, performance management and compensation programs
• Coach managers to drive greater productivity and high engagement
• Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
• Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
• Participate in special projects as needed
Required Education and Work Experience:
• 7-10 years of HR Business Partner experience (with the last 3-5 years supporting Senior Leadership clients)
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other advanced degree a plus
• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, performance management and respective local employment laws
• Experience working with analytics or technology organizations preferred

• M&A experience, specifically on due diligence and integration planning, is a plus
