Job Description

• P& L responsibility
• Expert level in dealing with investor and insurer regulations (HUD, FHA, VA, etc.)
• Examines documentation and processes to ensure control points are executed in adherence to regulatory and agency guidance, policies and procedures.
• Oversight of property registration, de-registration, code compliance, and utility programs
• Work with Post Sale/Claims, HUD contractors and preservation vendors to insure FHA conveyance timelines are met.
• Identify strategies for best execution on post sale assets where conveyance may not be the best option.
• Oversight of performance for hazard claims vendor insuring best return on damage claims.
• Responsible for conducting monthly scorecard meetings to discuss performance and strategies.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely fashion.
• Work to address all regulatory changes internally and with external partners.
• Stays abreast of changes in the servicing industry specific but not limited to property preservation.
• Manage VA bill of collections, FHA demands and any investor demand as it relates to property preservation work. Track rebuttal success rates and implement change associated with any denials.
• Establish and foster a work culture at all levels within the operation which is positive, collaborative, respectful and capable of driving long term operational sustainability.
• Work with senior management to develop and implement new or revised processes and guidelines.
• Review reports to ensure data transmissions and system integrity of all property preservation information.
• Review of current reports and assistance with identification of new reports, including ensuring department SLAs are met.
• Oversee contractor recruitment, on-boarding and compliance.
• Attend industry conferences to gain best-demonstrated practices and execute on identified initiatives.
• Performs a variety of tasks and wide degree of creativity with latitude is expected
• Execute management responsibilities, including hiring and training employees, directing work, monitoring and completing performance evaluations, employee recognition and discipline, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Keep Team informed of all trends and problems including, but not limited to preservation work denials/curtailments, avoidable losses, and compliance problems that will create an “out of compliance” condition or expose clients to any risk of exposure or liability.

Manages staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or University
• Six Sigma Black Belt helpful
• Master’s Degree Preferred
• Minimum 10 years of Property Preservation experience
