The Defined Benefits Processor will be responsible for timely and accurate record changes, as well as loading the retiree population for newly converted plans. In addition to their daily processing tasks, these individuals will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement within the group and ensuring that retirees are paid timely and accurately.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Timely and accurately process plan participant transactions (distributions, deductions, ACH updates)
• Timely and accurately reconcile daily, monthly and annual reports
• Research and respond to PSC generated research requests
• Maintain high level of service excellence
• Demonstrate full understanding of plan administration
• Assume full accountability for client satisfaction from an administration servicing perspective
• Coordinate with other groups under the Defined Benefits Business team as necessary
• Identify/implement opportunities for increased operational efficiencies
Communication and Documentation
• Responsible for interfacing with internal departments and Managers regarding systems and processing issues, concerns
• Present oral and written information in a clear, concise, and organized manner
• Maintain client files according to department standards, and update documentation as needed Maintain internal databases to reflect current client information and data as well as processing notes
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work or general business experience
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to apply technical industry knowledge to day-to-day issues and have the ability to adapt to technology
• Demonstrated ability to work in high volume, deadline oriented environment
• Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Lotus Notes experience
• ASPPA or CEBS designations or courses will be considered very favorably
• This is primarily a full-time position with minimal schedule flexibility
