Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related discipline
Minimum Experience: 5+ years in Mortgage job specific experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• 5+ years of Mortgage Loan Origination experience required
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
Certification(s): This position requires successful registration and issuance of a unique identification number from the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) in compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE ACT). Registration must be accomplished within an established timeframe after initial employment and includes a nationwide finger print check.
Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for the team and bottom line management for an assigned mortgage retail branch office. Develops goals to strengthen internal and external relationships, to increase mortgage production, and to ensure smooth running of the retail office. Establishes production goals, monitors performance relative to these goals, and makes necessary changes to ensure that goals are attained.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Works with the Area Sales Leader to develop, review and recommend overall objectives, policies and strategies.
• Networks with agents, attorneys, CPAs and appraisers to develop referral base.
• Executes loan application process in full, and assists processor in gathering information needed to approve the loan.
• Monitors Profit and Loss of branch, and prepares budgets for branch.
• Coordinates product and software training and development for each team member.
• Implements mandatory reporting, tracking and production goals for production office.
• Negotiates competitive fees and rates for various loan products.
• Interacts with various departments within the company to foster open lines of communication, keeps personnel abreast of program enhancements, and resolves customer conflicts.
• Compiles and analyzes statistics pertinent to the branch mortgage loan production product requirements and makes recommendations or suggestions as appropriate.
• Participates in community activities in order to keep contacts fresh and better understand the loan real estate market.
• Keeps abreast of legislative changes relating to mortgage lending market.
• Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
• Performs other related duties as required.
