Overview
As a Junior Business Information Analyst, you’ll help other employees make better business decisions by providing clear, detailed metrics to groups and individuals across our firm. Thanks to the reporting you will create, a Group Vice President may choose to green light a successful test program; an Account Executive may decide to focus more on the quality dimension of their initial appointments; a Client Operations Team Leader may realize an opportunity to more quickly and efficiently service a client’s need. To achieve this, you’ll work with one or more groups to:
• Brainstorm— what information might we use to make a given process work better?
• Create— how do we locate, refine, and compile that information?
• Execute—when is it needed, and how should it look? How can I make it sustainable?
Over the long-run you’ll continually adjust, improve, and troubleshoot your reporting to maximize its potential impact. Along the way, you’ll educate coworkers on the information available to them and answer their questions as needed.
Why Fisher Investments?
We’re a large privately-held wealth management firm that thinks differently about the complex issues our clients face. From our newest employee to our founder, Ken Fisher (a New York Times best-selling author, contributor to the emergent field of behavioral finance, and long-time Forbes columnist), our aim is to innovate ways of helping our clients better meet the challenges of investing in an ever-changing world. We also have great benefits, including a generous 401k match and employer-sponsored healthcare plan.
Qualifications:
In this role, you must enjoy working with data, spreadsheets, reports, numbers, and/or statistics. You have great analytical ability—and moreover, you can communicate what you know effectively and clearly. We’d like you to have a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education/experience. You also have familiarity with Microsoft Access, VBA, SQL, and Excel. You are able to prioritize, keep track of details, learn new systems, juggle deadlines where needed, and solve problems on the fly—and you enjoy working with people. Sound like you? Apply now!
We believe in providing the training needed to be successful in our entry-level roles. Accordingly, none of our entry-level jobs require the highly specialized knowledge needed for us to sponsor an H-1B visa and we therefore do not provide sponsorship for entry-level positions.
