Minimum Requirements
Required Education:
Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline
Required Skills:
• 2+ years job specific experience
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Strong PC skills
• Broad understanding of operations systems and banking products
• Demonstrates effective problem solving skills
• Understanding of transmission devices, connections and peripherals
• Ability to analytically troubleshoot problems that occur during the transmission of electronic image files
Job Description
Job Summary:
The Image Operations Department provides support to Synovus banks' team members and commercial customers who use the various Cash Management products. The operator will be expected to maintain uptime performance of all systems and applications used to perform end of day functions and file transmissions. This includes contacting the appropriate personnel to resolve issues affecting the performance of the AFS system.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Under limited supervision, responsible for the workflow operation within the Imaging area and for coordinating the completion of daily tasks.
• Imports and exports transmission files.
• Prioritizes work in accordance with customer and operational guidelines.
• Builds and transmits Metavante files.
• Responsible for the correction of disfunctioning systems or applications. Resolves system or operational issues with limited supervision.
• Consolidates and transmits all transmission files, timely and accurately, on a daily basis.
• Corrects any deficiencies with any files, to include deleting and reconstructing.
• Conducts all end of day processes, report generation, shut down procedures and filing.
• Assists other department team members as needed.
• Assist in tracking of supply usage to ensure an uninterrupted workflow operation.
• Assists management in other tracking, reporting, and special projects as needed.
• Assists in the development and training outline for new personnel within the Image Operations Department.
• Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
