Position
: Associate / Senior Associate, Business Development
JLL is currently seeking a Sr. Associate to join our Business Development team located in Tampa, FL. This position will team with sales professionals in the Tampa Office on the strategy and production of qualified business opportunities and sales collateral, with a strong focus on proposal writing and new business pitches, with the ultimate goal of increasing the firm’s win rate and market share and adding revenue across certain key JLL’s business lines in the Tampa Bay MSA.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain proposal and pitch / presentation library, including but not limited to baseline language, business analytics, case studies and resumes
• Track win / loss pursuit metrics
• Work with senior brokers to develop follow-up materials for clients (e.g., lease comparisons, market overviews, prospect or client presentations, coordinate information with other departments and brokers as needed).
• Support the team on a variety of initiatives, including but not limited to leverage business knowledge to expertly position key facts, figures and other proof points that set us apart from our competitors
• Maintain and update the Brokerage Team’s market research database and activities with JLL’s CRM system (Spider).
• Provide brokerage team with industry and market specific information as it relates to their business pursuits and maintain contact information on prospects.
• Effectively utilize all internal JLL support groups and internal JLL databases to support business.
• Work with research and other team members to compile market information and statistics on the local commercial real estate market. Conducting research and collect information and assemble materials on market fundamentals, ownership, tenants, and economic analysis.
• Contribute to designated local market research requests: market snapshots, market overviews, quarterly market decks, topic specific research to support pitches and brokerage opportunities.
• Participate in Brokerage Team meetings and weekly sales meetings to update colleagues on leasing activity, market information, new business generating efforts, prospects and market knowledge and trends.
Qualifications
• Prefer a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Real Estate and excellent academic credentials preferred
• One to three years of professional experience in high level sales production
• Commercial real estate and business development experience or interest in both of those fields is highly encouraged
• Exceptional writing, editing, formatting and design skills
• Capacity to digest complex technical solutions, strategies, and themes
• Strong time-management, prioritization and organization skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Strong communication skills with the ability to quickly gain rapport and resolve issues
• Willingness to explore new initiatives and approaches to writing, design and business development strategies
• Proactive and take initiative
