JOB SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, the Facilities Maintenance Associate will perform preventative maintenance and repair work of bank owned buildings, including but not limited to: electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, signage and external and internal upkeep.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Specialized coursework at business or trade school preferred
• 1 - 3 Years Experience in Function
• 1 - 3 Years Experience in Industry
• HVAC Preferred
• Knowledge and experience with HVAC required, vocational HVAC training and/or apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to perform maintenance, service, troubleshoot commercial HVAC equipment and inspect air conditioning units to ensure efficient operation.
• Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with troubleshooting, service and repairs; experience with building systems and electrical circuits.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted during the course of projects.
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, and able to manage time effectively to consistently meet deadlines.
• Valid Michigan driver's license required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance Duties
• Performs scheduled maintenance inspections, and adjusts, cleans, lubricates and calibrates various systems to ensure proper system operations.
• Evaluates equipment performance and recommends improvements to maintenance programs and system design to prevent early failure.
• Maintains lighting by installing light bulbs and ballasts; repairing electrical wiring and fixtures.
• Various painting, repairs, etc. to assist in maintaining a professional and visually appealing office setting.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Customer Service
• Responds to service calls quickly and safely to minimize downtime.
• Maintains clean mechanical spaces free of debris and hazards.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Ensures high quality of workmanship with all tasks.
Administration
• Manages stock of materials and supplies and orders repair parts as necessary.
• Maintains accurate maintenance history file in accordance with city, state and EPA regulations.
Community Involvement
• Participate in Chemical Cares Days.
Other / Miscellaneous
• Must be on call to support operations and participate in off hour's emergency coverage as needed.
