Responsibilities - External
This position is responsible for providing the strategic oversight for the global tax function. The position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the corporate tax function including planning, examinations, forecasting and providing advice related to regulatory requirements globally.
Responsibilities include:
Oversee the preparation of the monthly/annual tax provision and all tax returns
Ensure all tax returns such as insurance premium tax, value added tax, sales/use tax, income tax, goods and services tax are prepared, filed and globally compliant
Direct, train and develop a global team of tax professionals
Qualifications - External
Education: Masters, JD or LLM
Experience:
10 or more years’ experience in insurance and/or public accounting(Big 4 preferred)
Demonstrated global business tax experience
Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking
Capability to provide governance oversight
Understanding of internal control and risk management concepts related to tax planning
Experience with US GAAP and Statutory accounting; understanding of IFRS, UK GAAP and Luxembourg highly preferred
Significant exposure advising on global business tax practices
Strong leadership, organization and communication skills
