Prudential’s Individual Solutions Group (ISG) is on a journey to transform its technology landscape from older, custom built applications to newer, packaged, cutting edge software. The person filling this role will be responsible for providing leadership and to be a part of an innovative organization within Annuities and Life Technology Group. This team is responsible for enabling a climate that helps the organization remove barriers between ideas and business outcomes by embodying Agile Principles and values and utilizing Agile frameworks and practices.
The successful candidate will partner with senior leaders across Prudential, providing thought leadership and recommending solutions to enhance business outcomes through modeling Agile values, principles and practices.
This individual will collaborate with key stakeholders in leading a multi-year effort to increase Agile adoption and champion a climate of continuous improvement across the Individual Solutions group. He/she will also be expected to lead the development of new Agile capabilities, mentor others and be a key contributor to building a successful and sustainable practice.

Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the delivery of the organizations Agile practices evolution and improvement and strategic change initiatives that are focused on enhancing organizational agility to drive sustainable growth.
• Lead initiatives that are part of establishing a comprehensive Agile practice focused on enhancing organizational agility to drive sustainable growth.
• Establish strategic and tactical plans in support of multi-year Agile transformation initiative.
• Works towards and ensures seamless execution of Agile practice improvement and related change management activities across the IT organization by efficiently using communication planning, organizational readiness and stakeholder analyses.
• Provides coaching and guidance to the leadership and management team on their role and expectations in emerging climate.
• Leverage business value delivery and initiative objectives (i.e., Epics and Features (KPIs)) to inform/influence decision making within the team and with other stakeholders.
• Serve as an extension of the Agile Practice Excellence Leadership team, acting as a liaison, embracing lean leadership to improve team collaboration and performance across the organization.
• Provides insights and guidance on emerging best practices, processes and control frameworks.
• Partner with Technology areas, including, Development, QA and Production Management to drive process improvements for faster value delivery and improved quality and stability.
• Acts as a change agent to implement and manage best practices across the organization. Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business.
• Develop talent across the Agile Practice Excellence team to build practice competency and capacity, while driving employee engagement and job satisfaction
Qualifications
• Passion for optimizing/transforming how organizations deliver products more effectively.
• Expert knowledge of the business implications of an Agile Transformation and proven experience taking a pragmatic, framework agnostic approach to developing Agile solutions for large organizations.
• Experience extending Agile beyond IT into the business to enable an Agile/Lean development/delivery process.
• Ability to collaborate, communicate, plan and effect change at Senior Leadership, Portfolio, Program and Team levels.
• Strong emotional intelligence, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to act judiciously and empathetically.
• Experience working successfully with virtual/global team(s), effectively adapting to local operating models and culture.
• Demonstrates passion and strong aptitude for developing people.
• In-depth knowledge and background with Lean- Agile methods, practices and scaling frameworks (e.g. Scrum at Scale, SAFe, etc.) including all roles, processes and practices within each framework.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies.
• Working knowledge of DevOps, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development and Architecture practices.
• Experience partnering with consulting vendors.
• 8-10+ years Business domain and/or technical experience and process management.
• 5+ years Agile experience as Agile Coach and 3+ years of experience leading large-scale Agile transformations
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Financial Services experience including familiarity with regulatory controls related to software delivery a plus.
• Certifications including Leading SAFe, SAFe Program Consultant (SPCs), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), IC Agile Certified Professional a plus
