We are currently seeking a BI Director for one of our Global account teams.
Our BI Director will be responsible for supporting the BI relationship with our client and will be a key liaison point between our client and our BI / IT teams. Our ideal candidate will have impeccable relationship and program management skills and can move quickly from vision to strategy. You should have data architecture knowledge and an understanding of data visualization best practices and be familiar and comfortable with SQL, Tableau and Alteryx.
What this job involves:
• Lead the overall data roadmap for the account ensuring effective controls to ensure the value, compliance and effectiveness of BI solutions
• Guide and oversee global data governance and management for the account
• Provide strategic oversight for our self-service data governance program designed to automate the data quality stewardship process and quantify the value of CRE data
• Build and develop our CoE capability, ensuring we have a community feel and consistent visualizations
• Translate JLL account business objectives into an information management and business intelligence strategy, which is integrated and consistent with the client expectations.
• Apply advanced data mining techniques, statistical data models and data visualizations to solve business problems
• Promote and enable the import and export of best practices to and from the account, and link the account to emerging practices in the industry and the BI/data fields.
• Devise and promote creative data visualization to derive actionable intelligence.
• Strategic oversight for Alteryx in JLL including workflow deployment and server and license management
• Design process mapping and efficiency analysis.
• Lead problem solving teams to develop recommendations based on data interpretation and analysis to transform behaviors and techniques.
• Develop automated tools and dashboards with IT team to provide real-time insights to business data.
• Promote success powerfully, such that our client recognizes the value of your work.
• Use of advanced statistical concepts to determine significant sources of variability.
• Designing data integration from multiple systems into data warehouses and analytic data models.
• Provide subject matter expertise for all data related processes and analyses.
Sound like you? Before applying it’s worth knowing what we are looking for:
• A BI and data delivery expert with knowledge of best practice data modeling and optimized data visualization
• An understanding of the Real Estate information universe – the services provided in corporate real estate the information needs and the reporting objects.
• Expertise with predictive modeling and in using such models as a basis for conducting global analysis A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
• An MBA or Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics or related field preferred
• 10+ years of relevant experience required
• High level skill with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT) required SharePoint experience a plus.
• Experience with a variety of BI and data tools including SQL Server, Tableau, Alteryx and Microsoft BI / Office 365 products.
• Communication - Excellent presentation skills (verbal and written), Strong understanding of analytic/statistical concepts with the ability to explain them to others
• Strategic Thinking - Ability to think broadly, create a shared vision, and embrace change as an opportunity
• Organizational Agility - Knowledgeable about how organizations work; knows how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network.
• Process Improvement - Committed to continuous improvement through empowerment and management by data; is willing to re-engineer processes from scratch.
• Client Management - Understanding client needs and setting and managing appropriate client expectations within system, project, or contract constraints all while providing exceptional and enhanced customer service.
• Team-building -Key stakeholder and collaborators are geographically dispersed. Getting results from ad hoc groups of disparate people is critical. Ability to manage through influence
• Flexibility – understanding of regional/cultural/contextual differences and allowance for local expression without compromising global coherence.
• Six Sigma Blackbelt a plus
