ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and maintain quantitative based tools, reports, analysis, and models to assist and complement the efforts of the portfolio management team.
• Develop and maintain a record keeping system and database to help document all investment decisions.
• Develop and produce performance reports that help provide feedback to the portfolio management team or can be used in sales and marketing.
• Assist other analysts and portfolio managers as needed with fundamental research.
• Serve as a backup equity trader.
• Develop, produce, and maintain reports and analytics to measure trading performance.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics, or Computer Science, plus three years of related experience and/or training, and a minimum of one year of related management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with FactSet and Bloomberg required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, E-mail and the Internet. FactSet and Bloomberg experience required. Ability to maintain SIMG website. Ability to learn and utilize industry specific software programs.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Chartered Financial Analyst designation preferred
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Requires the ability to work where there are frequent time constraints and can be stressful at times. Ability to work non-standard hours and travel if required. Ability to work independently and without constant, direct supervision.
