Job Description Summary:
The Sales Manager position will fill a vital role in supporting the hotel’s financial goals through selling sales packages to select market groups through direct client contact to maximize total revenues. This position will work in a specific geographic market and selected vertical markets.
The ideal candidate will have 2.5 - 5 years of Hotel Sales Experience in a hotel of similar scope.

Position Requirements:
• 2.5 - 5 years of experience with a strong background in hotel package sales of similar scope
• Must have strong closing skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred but not required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; outgoing and self-motivating/driven style with the ability to flex style to meet client and team needs.
• Ideal candidate will be excellent user of Delphi or other hotel/conference center booking software
Essential Functions:
• Source/prospect and cultivate new leads regularly via phone, face to face meetings on and off site, trade show and other networking opportunities.
• Nurtures client relationship continuously
• Books new and repeat business in line with property standards and goals.
• Attend industry and client related functions in order to keep current on industry trends and to maintain close client contact.
• Maintain constant verbal and written communication with clients, and internal processes
• Maximize existing accounts and new relationships to achieve or exceed sales goals.
• Conduct familiarization events.
• Work closely in synergy with other departments in hotel.
• Work within a team sales approach.
