ABOUT THIS POSITION
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsible for generating new leads and closing new sales opportunities related to Commercial Lines Insurance. Assists customers with other services as appropriate. Work is performed primarily from a home-based office. Compensation is based on a base plus commission plan.

SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES:
*1. Responsible for maintaining the highest level of service and quality by educating and consulting clients on
their insurance needs and requirements.
*2. Develops and manages an active pipeline of lead sources, from personal contacts, cold calling, networking, client referrals, Business Development Field Reps and through purchased lead sources.
*3. Creates hypotheses and analyses to identify and recommend business process improvements that result in increased sales opportunities.
*4. Audits existing clients and prospective clients’ commercial coverage for accuracy and suitability. Informs and educate clients about policy coverage, exclusions, and additional insurance coverage needs. Performs cross selling on other services offered by the company and/or strategic partners (homeowners insurance, commercial insurance, financial products, etc.) which add value to the overall account.
*6. Ensures retention of business by remarketing renewals, contacts clients and handles other renewal activities to support account retention goals. Identifies reasons for cancellations requests and acts to save accounts.
*7. Maintains records on customers including information about the consumer, source of lead, response to quote/offer application and policy according to procedures established by management.
*8. Completes all required training in a timely manner including detailed knowledge of Infinity products, coverage and rating factors for all assigned states.
*9. Must maintain a Property and Casualty license to sell and service insurance, including non-resident license, as needed based on position and work location.
*10. Responsible for accurate underwriting and document retention as needed.
*11. Must meet established sales goals and minimum outbound call requirements.
*12. Must have regular predictable attendance.
*13. Performs all other duties as assigned.
*14. Home work area must be free from distractions and background noise.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Minimum of 6 months of prior experience in insurance sales required.
2. A valid insurance license for assigned State(s) is required.
3. Must be proficient in Spanish and English.
4. Above average communication skills in order to represent the company in a professional manner and communicate effectively with potential customers.
5. Experience with and the ability to use a PC to perform daily duties required.
6. Previous experience with Excel, Word and web based systems preferred.
7. Must be a disciplined self-starter with the ability to meet productivity goals, detail oriented and accurate and have the ability to work independently following strict procedural guidelines.
8. Work schedule may fluctuate based on business need and will include evening and weekend hours.
