Job Description
Allstate has an exciting opportunity for a Claims Risk Management and Compliance Data & Analytics Consultant in Northbrook, IL!
In this role, you will leverage data and analytics to help automate risk management & compliance processes enabling our claims employees to focus on serving our customers and delivering the most advanced claims experience on the planet. You will also analyze data to assist with measurement and understanding of Risk Management & Compliance performance.
You must be passionate about learning and innately curious. You love using the power of appropriately contextualized data to solve interesting and complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
• Makes and maintains a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needs; serves the customer with empathy; and follows up to ensure that customer needs have been met
Data & Analytics
• Manages diverse data sets and ensures they effectively advance risk identification, issue management and control effectiveness
• Validates data and conducts data analysis to support business objectives
• Creates new and innovative ways to measure and visualize data
• Uses broad understanding of existing data elements, including where they are stored and how to capture them through reporting and analytics; identifies missing elements and elevates to leadership
• Researches current state and future state of new technology and non-technology processes and impacts of regulatory changes on data
• Develops recommendations for improvement and presents recommendations to management
• Serves as a subject matter expert for Risk Management & Compliance data sources
• Develop solutions and iterates quickly to continuously improve
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science r related field preferred
• Quantitative and analytical skills to turn data into meaningful information
• Experience with advanced data analytic techniques for statistical analysis
• Experience with programming in one or more programming language preferred (SQL, R, Python or similar tools)
• Experience using visualization tools including Tableau preferred
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new subject matter
• Experience in working with massive data sets, including structured and unstructured
• Experience with data gathering, data cleaning, data mining, and data visualization
• Ability to weave data and analysis into a compelling format that is easily digestible
• Advanced ability to effectively communicate with both business and technology audiences
• Advanced ability to leverage learned technical skills in support of team objectives
• Ability to complete complex assignments requiring specialized knowledge in breadth and/or depth in area of expertise
• Ability to generate and translate ideas that create new and creative solutions to problems going beyond incremental improvements.
• Advanced problem solving skills to continuously improve business outcomes
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a high-paced, multi-task environment with attention to detailse
