Index Application Developer
Be part of one of the most innovative and energetic teams in Fin Tech! The Yield Book development team is building its next generation product using cutting edge technologies. We are looking for a highly-skilled developer to join our team.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform advanced software development and maintenance functions for The Yield Book and FTSE Russell Fixed Income Indices. Responsibilities include: design and develop software in C/C++ and Java for the next generation of FTSE Russell Fixed Income Index System and Custom Index Tools; maintain and develop index production system to improve efficiency and quality; utilize analytics skill and fixed income knowledge to implement index calculation methodology.
• This position requires and rewards candidates with excellent personal initiative, work ethic, and the ability to develop expertise in both fixed income markets and the technology needed to deliver analysis capabilities for these markets.
Qualifications
Masters degree or equivalent in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or Operations Research or similar Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with demonstrable years of experiences will be considered with outstanding academic achievement.
Required Skills
• Advanced programming skills in Java and scripting languages in Perl and Shell scripts.
• Excellent programming skills in C++/C.
• Excellent database and stored procedure skills. Experience with SQL programming languages in Sybase environment.
• Excellent analytical abilities.
• Good knowledge of Eclipse and the UNIX/Linux environment.
• Knowledge/experience with fixed income and equities market data is a plus.
