Description
The Deposit Operations Senior Specialist for Deposit Tax Compliance will be responsible for the daily activities associated with Deposit Tax Compliance reporting in the Account Services department.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Maintenance of the W8 and W9 Tax documents to properly certify customers as a Non Resident Aliens or Domestic and prevent Back up Withholding
• Ensure that data is accurate and make modifications to the systems of record as needed
• Analyze daily, weekly, monthly Tax Compliance activity reports from CMOD and ensure customer information is accurate and correct if required
• Perform various quality control functions to validate data
• Prepare reports as necessary
• Work with other groups on various requests to validate and update information associated with Tax compliance reporting
• Complete required training classes and utilize that information to recommend enhancements to procedures and business processes
• Other tasks within Account Services: fulfilling customer requests, setting up or maintaining customer accounts, providing excellent customer service for internal and external customers
• Ensure compliance with department SLAs, policies, procedures, and/or regulatory and risk requirements
• Tracking of productivity, quality, and other requirements in an accurate and timely manner
• May participate and help shape process improvement efforts for the department
• May assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and training materials to maximize efficiency and customer service
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
• Ability to learn new systems and technology
• Ability to analyze data, make decisions and implement actions
• Strong customer service skills
• 1+ years experience working in an operations environment
• Team player; able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Solid time management skills
• Close attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task and function efficiently in high volume, fast paced deadline oriented environment
• Proficiency in PC and MS office
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Experience in Financial Services a plus
Education:
• Associate's Degree preferred
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
