Responsible for leading a cross organizational effort to develop and improve customer marketing and sales programs across multiple lines of business. The role will be the driver of ideation, planning, development, and implementation of existing customer management strategies and ad-hoc reporting and analyses using various approaches. Right candidate will also be able to include model development, design, testing, implementation, validation and other ad-hoc analytics as the part of solution to targeting strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and create customer targeting strategies using statistical models allowing efficient execution of large scale customer engagement programs using techniques such as Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, Cluster Models etc. Present model results to various stakeholders, perform model validations for various models in use.
• Work with legal and compliance partners to get approvals and document approach in detail required for model approvals
• Prepare reports, written summaries of reports and analytics in support for business goals and drive stakeholder buy in across the organization.
• May support customer segmentation analysis, operational and/or marketing data file creation as needed.
• Be a champion of the testing process with champion challenger approach and drive continuous improvement within the UB customer engagement programs
• Lead a cross functional team across marketing, product and analytics to deliver innovative and highly scalable targeting solutions at UB
• Become a trusted partner and idea generation hub driven by analytical insights for various groups at the bank
Qualifications
Education, Licensure, Year of Experience (and type of work experience):
• BS in Statistics, Economics or CS with focus on statistical methods and model development for marketing and sales programs
• Five or more years in industry working on marketing or risk analytics using various statistical methods to deliver successful targeting programs.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Significant experience using SAS, R, SPSS, or other similar data analytics packages as well as directing a team in the usage of these packages.
• Experience in general data management is preferred.
• Expert knowledge of MS Excel and significant experience using all MS office applications.
