Overview of the Role
Responsible for planning and executing corporate event programs including client events, conferences, and other business related programs, to support the strategic goals of the company and the marketing/sales departments. Works effectively with internal teams and clients, manages and implements all facets associated with event execution, including program development/ execution, vendor procurement/management, budgeting, development of communications plans/materials, post-event reporting, and other services as required.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead the strategic planning and proactively manage the development of all event logistics for a range of corporate event programs, including client events, sponsorship events, conferences and other event types as assigned. Producing the events to the highest quality standards.
• Develop and implement compelling opportunities to maximize client engagement and relationship building opportunities that support sales organization’s strategic goals and future business.
• Manage the strategy and production of communication plans, campaigns and event materials with the design, channel marketing, home office, and compliance departments.
• Ensure the branding of all event materials is consistent across all events and is aligned with the overall brand look & feel.
• Interface with sales organization and clients at the highest professional level, ensuring the delivery of a quality experience at all events.
• Interface with outside vendors in support of key firm initiatives, such as fulfillment vendors, creative agencies, web vendors, booth vendors, etc.
• Assist with event program research and conceptualization for programs across the event team.
• Provide on-site event management as required, ensuring successful execution of activities and programs.
• Track, evaluate and report out on statistical data to demonstrate program and event effectiveness.
• Manage event budgets and track expenses for all programs.
• Perform administrative functions for projects as required.

Technical Skills and Qualifications
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong planning and coordination abilities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Results driven individual with ability to act tactically while thinking holistically
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Word and Excel
• Ability to quickly learn specialized event software systems. Experience with Cvent preferred but not required.
• Strong problem solving skills
• 6-8 years of experience in corporate event planning, event marketing or similar field
• Experience in the asset management/financial services industry preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed by:
• Annual Performance Appraisal
• Completion of all assigned Compliance training
Working Environment/Physical Activities
• Non-traditional work hours are a part of this role. Overtime may be required on short notice and will include weekend, evening, holiday hours.
• Typical office environment with equipment such as PC, telephone, copier, fax machine, etc.
• Travel to company events required
• Some light lifting required
