Ameritas is seeking an Senior Marketing Sales Development Strategist to drive the business by working closely with the manager, is responsible for building and maintaining relationships throughout Ameritas both internally as well as the field associates. These relationships will contribute to the creation of marketing and sales strategies and concepts that this department will lead and deliver to those individuals driving sales for the enterprise.
The Senior Marketing Sales Development Strategist is responsible for assisting the Manager in overseeing the creation, production, coordination and distribution of field advertising, promotion, public relations and marketing communications for the group division. This involves producing and distributing the internal and external communications for the division, as well as providing communications support to line distribution channels. The incumbent is responsible for the daily management of department associate workload, including training and delegation.
Essential Functions
• Assists the Manager, Group Customer Focus and directly interacts with the field associates and Ameritas home office inclusive of the Sales Support Team, marketing, compliance, competition support, product manufacturing, and advanced sales.
• Assists in product launches and messaging to the field associates.
• Participates with internal and external sales support meetings seeking insight and sales strategies
• Review and revise marketing and sales materials to follow brand standards.
• Analyze and measure the effectiveness and use of marketing sales materials and delivering data to appropriate departments.
• Research new opportunities of delivery of materials, sales strategies and concepts.
• Serves as the project leader for significant projects that take sales strategies, turn them into marketing concepts, and deliver to the requesters and distribution channels.
• Strategically prioritizes projects/goals in order to determine how sales ideas fit into strategic direction.
• Assists in achieving the sales objectives as set forth by the distribution head.
• Assists the Manager in overseeing and implementing the advertising, public relations and promotion strategic plans for the division.
• Assists the Manager in overseeing the production, coordination and distribution of various internal and external communications, including product announcements, product enhancements, line initiatives, acquisitions, announcements, etc.
• Manages ongoing communications support to Group division alternate distribution channels, including development, review and maintenance of sales and marketing materials, promotional plans, new product announcements and legal compliance.
• Provides guidance, coaching and support to Group Customer Focus Specialists.
• Assists manager in developing and overseeing accurate individual and departmental measurements to ensure success of the division vision.
Qualifications
• College degree or equivalent experience
• 4-6 years' experience in the marketing and/or communications field(s)
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, delegate, meet deadlines, work with allocated budget amounts and maintain positive working relationships with all associates is necessary
• Knowledge of advertising, media and production terminology and systems is extremely important.
• Strong conceptual, writing and design skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills are necessary.
• Experience with Macintosh systems is desired.
• Knowledge of budgets and the budgeting process is necessary.
• Must be able to handle various responsibilities and exhibit a high degree of organizational skills and independent problem solving.
