The Global Operations team partners with the front office and other groups globally to mitigate risk and deliver world class service to our global client base. They provide operational support and control functions across the trade lifecycle. The team is heavily involved in new product initiatives and process improvements to streamline our support model. Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight, development and growth of the MBS Operations team, working closely with our business partners in the Front Office to help grow the business in the New York office. The incumbent will be responsible for building a mandate and team that will ensure a seamless experience and interaction between external customers, Operations and the Front Office. They will act as a key liaison point across the trade life cycle for MBS products, to mitigate risk and provide world class customer service. As the role grows, the individual will also be responsible to explore and deliver leading edge innovation and process improvements and to create a 'learning' organization through leadership, coaching and guidance.
Job Requirements
Develop the mandate and model for the MBS Operations function, a new and growing business for TD Securities
Build a client and commercially focused team that effectively handles difficult requests, builds trusting, long-term relationships with Institutional, Corporate and Commercial clients, and manages client/business expectations as well as being able to view problems through the eyes of the client
Coach and develop a team of professionals focused on the support of the MBS business, which would include:
◦ Processing of all TBA trades for netting with MBSCC/FICC
◦ Managing the allocation and settlement team for MBS trading
◦ Allocation of all TBA trades using MBS expert
◦ Balancing end of day trading activity to Broadridge NAPE
◦ Assisting clearance in researching DK’s on pool trades
◦ Assisting reconciliations in researching all money differences
◦ Processing all give-up, trade assignments, and pool changes as needed
◦ Handling the deal creation from start to finish
◦ Ensuring documentation prepared / completed is accurate and properly reflects client / business intentions and is consistent with relevant rules / regulations
◦ Monitoring RTTM for daily trading activity
Engage and work in a collaborative manner with Operations colleagues to ensure that the structure of the team is appropriate to support the business in the future; this will include the support required from our Business Services group in Toronto (data, reconciliation, and regulatory services)
Daily collaboration with cross functional teams and partners globally to identify key business opportunities and play a vital role in driving change and execute on our key initiatives
