Responsibilities
The primary role of the Business Development Assistant is to provide new business development support to the interim placement team. Daily responsibilities include conducting prospect research, initial prospect outreach via email and telephone, and following up on marketing campaigns. This position will maintain and update a prospect database related to initial outreach, marketing activity, and results. She/he will work closely with the Directorof Business Development and others on the team to facilitate communication and face to face meetings with initial prospects and clients.
• Conducting prospect research
• Marketing campaigns.
• Solicit appointments and contact decision makers by phone, email, and social media to promote services
• Track prospect analytics
• Explain Baker Tilly Search & Staffing services to potential customers
• Handle prospect questions and objections
• Through research, develop pipeline of new prospect information including names, titles, and contact information
• Follow-up on marketing campaigns via phone or e-mail
• Contact prospects to follow up on initial interactions
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required. Soon-to-be grads will also be considered
• One (1) plus years of prior sales or marketing assistance experience required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with a CRM system highly desired
• Ability to attend occasional after hour events
• Ability to lead and direct own work
• Desire to grow professionally, ultimately into a Manager of Business Development role
