Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred.
Minimum of three years Commercial Lending, Workout, Underwriting, Loan Review or Credit Analysis experience required.
Job Description
SUMMARY:
This position is directly responsible for the integrity of the loan closing, due diligence, documentation, loan booking and closing files for assigned customers and Commercial loans. This includes ensuring that the loan structure and terms conform to the credit approval and Bank policies, the requirements to close are in place, and identify and appropriately mitigate exceptions. This position requires a thorough knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to the commercial lending function.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate closing portfolio for Commercial loans while managing sound risk and credit management practices that are consistent with the Bank's Credit Policy.
Service as project manager to facilitate and drive the closing process for Commercial loans.
This position works closely with Lending personnel and Credit Administration to ensure compliance with Credit Policy and approved loan terms.
Make decisions that influence risk management and customer relationships for loans in work queue.
Responsible for addressing potential risks and adverse situations that could affect the Bank's interest and takes appropriate corrective actions.
Evaluation loan documents to ensure that they meet the Bank's standards.
Review loan documents and work with outside counsel to ensure all required documents are complete and accurate.
Reviews due diligence items such as title commitments, flood determinations, insurance and other pre-closing items, and coordinates the review of such.
Has the authority to release loans for closing based on an independent review of the loan approval, loan documentation including adequate insurance coverage, lien searches and whether or not the loan documents were prepared in accordance with the Bank's policies and procedures.
Ascertain that all necessary documentation has been gathered and completed and all preconditions to closing have been met.
Ensure that the appropriate approval authority has been obtained prior to closing.
Act as a mentor for Commercial Loan Closing Specialists and assist/review loan documents as needed.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products include Word, Excel and Outlook.
Prior experience with Laser Pro or similar loan documentation software a plus.
