As a Human Resources Coordinator based in our Irvine office, you will be an important member of the Human Resources (HR) team supporting Capital’s American Funds Service Group. You will support and coordinate in various areas of Human Resources including associate relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, onboarding, and training and development.
Responsibilities:
•Acting as the initial point of contact for HR related questions from associates, managers and business leaders
•Coordinating and facilitating HR programs such as aspects of new hire orientation
•Processing new hire paperwork, terminations and other organizational changes, coordinating fingerprinting for associates and contractors, and maintaining accurate associate files and records
•Creating data visualizations that make complex data easier to understand and prepare polished presentation materials for leadership audiences
•Preparing reports on various HR metrics on a regular and ad hoc basis
•Providing administrative support to the HR Senior Manager and team members with scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, coordinating travel and expense reports
•May provide support to HR managers and generalists with associate relations, performance management and exit processes
Qualifications:
•3+ years of Human Resources or Administrative experience supporting multiple senior leaders in a corporate environment
•A self-starter with excellent judgment, exceptional communication skills, strong customer service and professionalism
•A strong problem-solver with initiative to work creatively and support managers proactively in a team environment
•Experience with electronic calendaring and coordinating complex travel arrangements, both domestic and international
•A desire and demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and leverage opportunities for process improvements
•Ability to compile data and complex information into useful summaries, reports, and presentations
•Effectively plan and organize assigned work to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
•Proficiency in Windows, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•Bachelor’s degree required
