The Role
The Account Executive has the responsibility for managing the client relationship of local accounts, which primarily consists of construction accounts or accounts with construction exposures. As head of the client team, the Account Executive marshals Willis Towers Watson resources to provide coordinated service and placement to meet the client’s insurance and risk management needs. Because of the Account Executive’s strong connection to the client’s business and fundamental understanding of its industry, this relationship is a business partnership with the client’s decision makers. Through their understanding of the business, the Account Executive identifies cross selling opportunities and maximizes the profitability of the account.
Responsibilities:
• Drive client relationships
• Build and develop market relationships in collaboration with broking and sales
• Increase (maximize) the profitability of the client account & drive retention of that business
• In collaboration with sales, participate in sales, prospecting in support of new business as applicable
• Engage with sales and broking to understand marketplace changes
• Design, prepare, negotiate and deliver fee/compensation agreements to clients
• Client interaction estimated at a minimum of 70% of time
• Monitor insurance and risk management needs and in collaboration with broking, recommend appropriate solutions throughout the policy term (including acquisition due diligence)
• Respond to mid-term client inquiries (i.e. policy and coverage questions)
• Identify, engage and coordinate expert resources as applicable (i.e., Broking, Practice, Industry, Product, RCCA) in order to provide comprehensive delivery of Willis Towers Watson’s service to the client
• Drive the RFP response process
• Design and build full client presentations/proposals, client advocacy reports, client service plans and schedules
• Ensure Group policy requirements (legal, regulatory & compliance) are met
• Drive internal/external strategy process in collaboration with broking and sales
• Provide technical knowledge and guidance during the placement process in collaboration with broking including forms analysis
• Drive the review and delivery of the binding documents
• Drive contract review process in collaboration with broking
Qualifications:
• 7 or more years industry experience
• High School diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred
• Insurance Broker’s P&C license required
• Holds, or is working towards, an appropriate professional designation (e.g. CPCU, ARM, CRIS)
• Fundamental knowledge & understanding of the industries and sectors of their account businesses, including the main products & services produced and processes used, including but not limited to, experience with controlled insurance programs/wrap-ups and builders risk
• Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of risk management, including contract review (as it relates to insurance and risk mitigation/contractual risk transfer)
• First-class interpersonal skills, including relationship building & maintenance
• Excellent communication (verbal & written), presentation & organizational skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where superior time-management and prioritization skills are essential
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong financial analytical skills

• Project Management
