Vanguard is currently seeking a Global Workplace Strategy Lead, responsible for defining and implementing Vanguard’s enterprise workplace strategy and workplace experience in coordination with key partners (notably HR and IT). Additionally, this individual will oversee customer relationship management for CREFM as well as space management.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
• Manage and develop staff by providing guidance, training, and motivation necessary to develop staff. Hires, terminates, evaluates, and counsels personnel. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and provides regular and ongoing feedback.
• Leads efforts to manage and implement global workplace strategies (design standards and guidelines / options) for all businesses and regions, working with supporting partners (e.g., HR, IT).
• Designs and manages the overall workplace experience (inclusive of physical workspaces, workplace technologies, services, and amenities) to optimize utilization, increase productivity, improve employee satisfaction, and support the workstyles of Crew members.
• Owns workplace-related governance and articulates the strategy to the business and leadership (working with Customer Relationship Management team); fosters rigorous governance participation in conjunction with the regions.
• Serves as a leader on enterprise-level initiatives addressing Crew experience; owns the Workplace of the Future initiative, looking at the workplace holistically, in coordination with HR.
• Leads governance actions related to workplace related KPIs and metrics
• Leads the engagement of employees and other supporting partners (e.g., IT) to plan for the future (e.g., mobility).
• Manages the coordination with Finance, IT and Global Technology Operations to enable digital workplace technologies and analytical capabilities.
• Develops and deploys necessary change management processes associated with office renovations and relocation of personnel
• Acts as a strategic partner and advisor to top business customers at the CFO level; provides leadership for CREFM's relationship management capability.
• Manages the Customer Relationship Management team and the business partner client relationship matrix.
• Oversees development of space planning and occupancy management systems, policies, and processes. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
The ideal candidate should possess:
• An undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum ten years of CRE experience, four of which pertaining to workplace strategy; relevant experience in strategic customer relationship management and digital workplace a plus
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to drive change, generate creative approaches / solutions and the desire to make workplace a “best in class” global organization
• Demonstrated executive presence and poise - ability to interact effectively with senior management as well as various levels of staff and management across the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to function in fast paced, ambiguous environment working with multiple and diverse responsibilities.
• Excellent relationship management skills as the role entails significant interaction with a variety of external and internal senior leadership
• Ability to effectively communicate technical and nontechnical information to various levels throughout the division.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with attention to detail and sensitivity to deadlines.
• Excellent project management skills with a proven delivery / execution track record
• Proven ability to develop and implement new business plans or change direction of business plans in a dynamic environment. Ability to motivate others and foster teamwork.
• Knowledge of Vanguard business lines preferred.
