The Investment Analyst role is responsible for providing support to the product management function associated with Great-West Funds. The Investment Analyst Great-West Funds provides ongoing research and support for the Great-West Funds complex, which is comprised of more than 60 distinct mutual funds and 10 collective trusts representing more than $25 billion in AUM. The role is responsible for creating regular management reporting, including support for marketing collateral, creating and updating competitive analyses for each of the funds. The role also provides support for manager search activity and other analyses supporting the business lines.
Primary Responsibilities
• Creates regular management reporting including weekly and monthly performance reports, competitive analyses, pitch book updates, etc.
• Interviews subadvisors on an ongoing basis to better understand and document performance, process, investment personnel, etc.
• Prepares complex investment models to analyze the impact of various changes on portfolios managed by GWCM. Creates back-tests and projections of various asset classes and investment managers
• Assists in manager searches and ad-hoc investment analytics
• Prepares standard quarterly reporting for various Investment Advisor Committees and the Fund Company Board of Directors
• Works closely with marketing to create new content and update existing content supporting Great-West Funds
• Provides input and research for thought leadership pieces
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or similar
• CFA charter or progress toward CFA charter preferred
• FINRA Series 6 and 63 registrations required within 90 days of hire/transfer date
• At least three years experience in a similar role
• Demonstrable expertise in investment themes and trends, economic analysis, and manager research principles
