We are currently seeking qualified, motivated talent to manage the overall customer experience, processes, operations and profitability of the Small Business Credit Card product line. Design and implement a strategy solving for the needs of Small Business with annual revenues < $10MM. Implement projects to enhance value proposition, improve processes and ensure controls. Responsible for all aspects of product development and portfolio management. Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required. The individual must develop and maintain strong partnerships and programs with the key partners and teams.
This role:
• Builds and maintains Small Business Credit Card product roadmaps enabling Bank of the West to be the easiest bank to do business with in the credit card space, making it easy for customers and bankers to understand and communicate.
• Drives improvements in portfolio performance (new account approval & penetration, activation and usage) and profitability through partnership with Sales, Marketing, Risk, Operations and Vendor.
• Leads product strategy for assigned product lines and executing product modifications and new product development; discovery and development of advanced or innovative features and functionality.
• Provides subject matter expertise on the products, features, functionality and controls.
• Understands key competitors' related product and new developments in those offerings.
• Conducts training classes on new or updated procedures, as necessary.
• Makes recommendations in the development of marketing and advertising programs for the assigned product or products.
• Reviews complaints and suggestions relative to assigned product or products. May develop a plan for resolution.
• Maintains contacts with bank officers responsible for marketing and sales of assigned product(s) to monitor trends, determine customer acceptance, understand sales officers' needs, etc.
• Ensures all new and existing products and communication related to those products are in compliance with bank policy and regulatory requirements.
• Develops and recommends pricing strategies that will result in meeting product objectives.
• Evaluates current economic conditions and advises management of possible impact on assigned products and services.
• Gathers market intelligence so that market opportunities may be capitalized on as they occur and the effects of competitive activity are minimized.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• 7 yrs applicable experience
• The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to think strategically, create compelling business cases, build consensus with various business partners to implement projects and partner effectively
• Bachelors’ degree required. Degree in Business or Finance preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ related product management experience in Credit Card or Payments, preferably in the Small Business Segment
• Experience in forecasting, financial modeling, business case development, strategic planning, project management and tactical implementation.
• Direct experience in applying analytics to innovatively develop product and channel strategies.
• Ability to work across multiple internal stakeholders, business areas, and external providers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements surrounding the bank’s product offerings required.
