Job Description
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing credit risk management strategies. The candidate will leverage customer level information and predictive models to maximize profits, while using efficient trade-offs among key business metrics such as credit losses, receivables, and profit. This will necessitate identification, design and implementation of complex statistical and business analyses in support of business strategy.The successful candidate will have strong ability to translate business objectives into analytical framework and solve them by using optimal trade-offs between risk and revenue metrics. He/she will work in a cross-functional environment with internal business partners such as Marketing, Operational Teams, Finance and Legal/Compliance. The position offers a challenging environment for the right candidate to apply experience and knowledge in a creative manner while also providing a unique opportunity to influence management and impact the portfolio in a significant way.• Develop and enhance credit strategies, policies, processes and procedures• Establish and maintain effective strategy performance tracking to ensure strategies are performing as expected. Apply key learnings to update strategies / policies in a timely manner.• Establish effective risk controls in the strategies.• Design and implement comprehensive tests and evaluate financial impact from various treatments. • Make profitable decisions by means of optimization schemes, customer segmentation and predictive models. • Facilitate implementation discussion with operational teams to ensure accuracy and soundness of execution.• Maintaining integrity of policies by conducting periodic reviews.• Provide internal or external exam support.• Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
Skills
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills.• Strong business acumen and knowledge of industry, risk management, and business metrics preferred• Solid understanding of financial analysis and statistical concepts. • High level of proficiency in SQL, SAS and Excel• Good communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills.• Self-motivated with ability to set priorities in a performance driven environment.• Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, economics, engineering, MBA etc.) or equivalent and 1 year of experience in financial services or related industry
