We are currently looking for a Portfolio Analyst I to join the portfolio management team for the Principal U.S. Property Account. In this role you will review investments and provide analytical, reporting, and other support within the real estate investment team. Responsibilities include sensitivity and variance analysis of annual operating budgets and business plans, asset valuation models, portfolio diversification measures, performance returns and attribution and other asset/portfolio metrics as directed by the team.
Accountabilities:
• Requires critical attention to detail
• Strong quantitative financial background
• Working knowledge of computer modeling techniques and the ability to make effective decisions
• Ability to work effectively in a deadline driven environment while managing multiple priorities is essential
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business or related field; preferably real estate emphasis.
• Progress toward a master’s degree in business is preferred.
• Preference will be given to those who have worked as an analyst or completed an internship in Commercial Real Estate, particularly Acquisitions and/or Asset Management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) required.
• Travel as needed is required.
