This role sits within the Field Strategic Services (FSS) group, which focuses on transformational platform strategies and new technology products to give Financial Advisors (FAs) and their support staff better tools to serve their clients. The Strategic Client Onboarding (SCO) team within FSS is seeking a strategic thinker who has a passion for uncovering new opportunities and executing projects to continuously improve our business and our client experience.
Morgan Stanley Wealth Management is working to continuously modernize its Wealth Management Branches. The Vice President Digital Onboarding Product Manager will manage multiple projects simultaneously from beginning to end. S/he will act as a subject matter expert for account opening and maintenance including fielding inquiries from senior management, establishing business requirements for technology and business partners, and working with branches to conduct user research. This person will also be responsible for troubleshooting escalations and proposing and implementing well thought out solutions.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, inquisitive self-starter with excellent time management skills and experience in user-facing technology implementations and/or in wealth management.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a team of 1-2 Associate/AVP high performing employees
• Own project execution through all phases of the project lifecycle
• Develop meaningful solutions to critical business issues
• Collect and analyze user feedback and metrics to inform solutions
• Write business requirements to achieve strategic solutions
• Work with communications and training partners to educate end users and call centers about upcoming implementations and promote adoption
• Manage field engagement and release rollout strategy
• Perform business verification of new functionality releases post-implementation in production and track adoption
• Liaise between cross-functional teams to identify strategic system solutions and issue resolutions compliant with industry and governmental regulations
• Simplify complex technical systems into visual process flows, tables, and PowerPoint presentations
• Present requirements and proposed solutions to senior management
Qualifications:
• BS/BA degree with strong academic record
• Experience with user-facing technology implementations
• Managerial experience preferred
Skills Required:
• Knowledge of / experience with Wealth Management strongly preferred
• Self-starter with exceptional project management skills and the ability to work independently and in a group to drive projects to completion
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical capabilities and problem solving skills
• Must be able to effectively communicate in both business and technical contexts including managing relationships with other teams
• Strong analytical, process-oriented, problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well with employees across a diverse range of functional groups
• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
• Must be able to understand high level technical design of systems
• Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
